How my journey began
My path into health counselling began with curiosity and a desire to understand how health, behaviour, and life experiences shape one another. Witnessing illness within my own family showed me the real impact that health challenges can have on people’s daily lives. These early experiences motivated me to explore the science behind health and wellness, and to find ways of sharing that knowledge in a way that is both practical and accessible.
I had spent much of my career in the oil and gas industry before realizing I wanted to pursue a more meaningful path. Motivated by a desire to support others, I returned to school to study Applied Psychology and Counselling. Through my experience in mental health roles, I have come to appreciate how deeply interconnected the various dimensions of a person’s life are. Mental health, nutrition, sleep, physical activity, employment, and relationships all interact, and lasting well-being often depends on addressing them together.
Having faced health challenges of my own, I reached a point where I wanted to take control of my health and live to the best of my ability. This led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences, where I focused on reviewing evidence-based research and current clinical studies.
Through this personal and academic journey, I developed a deep understanding of effective health interventions across multiple domains. I compiled the strategies and insights I had gained into developing practical programs that address the full spectrum of wellbeing.
This work led to the creation of Bodhi Health Counselling. At Bodhi, we take a holistic approach, drawing on the biopsychosocial model, looking at how biological, psychological, and social factors interact to support sustainable and meaningful improvements in health and quality of life.

Change comes from within — and I’m here to help you activate it.
